Meet the Elu Village of Abia State, Nigeria
Elu is a village located in the Ohafia local government area in Abia State, Nigeria. It is located in an undulated plateau about 70 kilometers from Umuahia through Uzuakoli and 42 kilometers through Bende. The population of the Elu water supply area is about 110,000. Elu’s primary economic activities are farming and trading products like yams, palm oil, corn, cassava, potatoes, banana, plantain, and many varieties of vegetables and herbs. Other activities include sheep and goat rearing, poultry keeping, carpentry, and arts.
